I was born and raised in Bulgaria. I have always been drawing, but at the age of 11 I started to attend drawing classes, which led to my acceptance at High School of Industrial design in Kazanluk, Bulgaria. There I spent five years studying drawing, painting, graphic and industrial design, sculpture, basic photography and typography.

After my graduation I got accepted at New Bulgarian Universuty in Sofia, Bulgaria. I spent two years studying animation. In the summer of 2002 I came to USA to study at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. After that I transfered at Kansas City Art Institute, where I graduated in 2006 with major in Illustration.

Different cultures, habits, costumes and traditions have always been an interest of mine, which is reflected in my senior thesis project—a children's book about Buba, a little ladybug who goes around the world, meets different animals from different countries and learns how to say Hello in their native languages.

Characters and portraiture are also interesting to me and my work shows that to some extend. I also try to apply the characters I create to a product.
